Basic First Aid Training Course

This basic 4-hour basic first aid course covers life saving techniques such as resuscitation, mouth to mouth and recovery position. It is the ideal basic first aid training course for staff who need training in basic first aid.

What does the course cover?

First Aid regulations
Dealing with an unconscious casualty
Resuscitation on an unconscious casualty
Recovery position
Treatment of bleeding and burns
Treatment of a choking casualty
Treatment of strains and sprains
Managing an incident
Control bleeding and manage shock
Communication and casualty care
Looking after yourself and the casualty
Skills practice to develop the techniques

All of our courses can be tailored to fit your business and individual needs. Our courses can be held at our bespoke training centre or at your premises.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for anyone who wants a basic understanding of First Aid. This includes staff in care homes, schools, nurseries, chefs, waiting staff, contract caterers, prisons, voluntary organisations etc This course is not recognised by the HSE.

For those who would like HSE recognised qualification the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work and 3-day First Aid at Work courses are also available.

3 years.
