Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Course

Food Hygiene legislation requires all food handlers to receive appropriate supervision, and be instructed and/or trained in food hygiene, to enable them to handle food safely. This 3-hour course is a quick and cost-effective way to train your staff, on-site in the basics of food safety. Our Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is accepted by inspecting organisations as evidence of food hygiene training.

What does the basic food hygiene certificate course cover?

The course covers everything you need to know about good food hygiene practice, including:

This course is ideal for anyone who handles food for the public and who needs evidence of food hygiene training.  This includes chefs, waiting staff, staff in care homes, schools, nurseries, prisons, contract caterers, voluntary organisations etc.  This course meets the minimum legal requirements.

How will the course be assessed?

A multiple choice assessment paper will be taken at the end of the session. All successful candidates will be awarded a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
