OUTREACH WORKER - BIRMINGHAM
Le Breton Services are looking to recruit Outeach Workers in Birmingham. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated candidates who can successfully engage with vulnerable families in the area. The main purpose of this role is to promote the services that the children’s centre has to offer. You will carry out regular outreach activities, run local crèches, and – through a series of targeted home visits – you will endeavour to make direct contact with parents/ carers and community groups who struggle to access the services.
In order to apply it is essential that you are a Qualified Nursery Nurse and you should have at least 4 months’ relevant experience (obtained within the last year) – particularly working with children aged 0-5 and their families.
You will demonstrate good knowledge of how different factors (e.g. housing, employment, poverty) can impact on the early development of children and you will understand what is involved in the effective delivery of a local children’s centre.
Strong computer skills and a good telephone manner are also highly desirable. along with a current DBS and it is essential that you are car driver due to client visits.
