Manual Handling Training Course

If your staff are undertaking potentially hazardous manual handling activities, then it is a Legal requirement under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations to ensure that effective training is provided. Manual Handling injuries account to 25% of all reported workplace accidents. This Manual Handling Training Course will provide your staff with the knowledge to reduce the risks from Manual Handling activities and understand the basic technique for completing a safe lift.

Who is the Manual Handling Course for?

This course is ideal for anyone who carries out manual handling activities at work and is tailored to your work.

A 6 hour 'Manual handling – Practice and principles' (Level 2) is also available which covers subjects in more detail and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

A 6-hour 'Moving and Handling People' course is available if your role involves assisting or moving people.

How is the course assessed?

A multiple choice assessment paper will be given at the end of the session.  Successful candidates gaining 10 correct answers out of 15 will be awarded a Manual Handling certificate.

How much does it cost?

£50 per person. Discounts available dependent on numbers.

How long is the certificate valid for?

3 years.
