The Moving and Handling of People Training Course deals specifically with the handling of people and is relevant to healthcare workers/providers.It follows a minimal handling/lifting policy, however, it includes guidance on handling aids, and importantly risk assessment. This very popular course is ideal for anyone who assists in moving and/or handling people, as part of their role.

Who is Moving and Handling of People Training for?

This course is ideal for anyone who assists in the moving and handling of people as part of their role. It can be tailored to your individual needs.

If your role involves moving heavy loads, not people:
3-hour Manual Handling – Basic Certificate is also available.
6-hour Manual Handling – Level 2 Principles & Practice, accredited by the CIEH, is also available for those who would like an accredited qualification.

6 hours.

How is the course assessed?

A multiple choice assessment paper will be given at the end of the session.  Successful candidates gaining 20 correct answers out of 30 a certificate in Moving & Handling People will be issued.  There will also be a practical assessment,

How much does it cost?

£55 per person. Discounts available dependent on numbers.

How long is the certificate valid for?

3 years, a refresher course is recommended on an annual basis.
